Bad Gastein is one of Austrias most famous spa health resorts.
The town of 6.000 inhabitants is also a popular destination for winter holiday.
But Bad Gastein lost much of his glory after the second world war. Before the place was one of the best holiday destinations in Europe. There were a lot of famous politicans, leaders, artists, kings, queens and emperors visiting the place. Today Bad Gastein has not the status anymore of those days.
