Lockenhaus is located between the forested hills in the Central part of Burgenland.

The village with 2.100 inhabitants is a lovely little place with an idyllic character.

There is also a castle from the 13th century.It was told that the castle of Lockenhaus was a hiding place for knights of the temple.
