Mattersburg

Mattersburg is just the third biggest town in Burgenland, but the absolute capital in the matter of football.

Already since 2003, Mattersburg has the only football club in Burgenland, who plays in Austrias Premier League, after two decades without a participation of a Burgenland club. So Mattersburg is usually known for its football club “SV Mattersburg”.

Mattersburg has 7.200 inhabitants.
