Stadtschlaining is a cosy little town in the Central part of Burgenland, close to the city of Oberwart.

The area around Stadtschlaining is characterized by a lot of hills and fields, and some forest tough.

There is also a castle in Stadtschlaining which was built between the 12th and the 13th century. In that time Stadtschlaining was an important strategic spot. Today you are going to find the so called “peace factory” inside of the castle. Young people talking and making projects about the peace in the world. Visitors can enter the castle, and are allowed to take a closer look on several peace projects.

Stadtschlaining has 2.100 inhabitants.
