Pörtschach

Pörtschach is a noble little town on the Northern shore of Lake Wörthersee with 3.000 inhabitants.

The place is very popular among tourists who prefer the fancy way of holiday.

The success of Pörtschach being a popular holiday destination for summer tourists started in the 19th century. It was in 1853 when the shipping began on the lake. Going by boat on the lake was the most important attraction of Pörtschach in those days. Time after time more and more tourists came, and made Pörtschach to a noble little town with a booming tourism.
