Schwarzau im Gerbirge is a little village in the South Eastern part of Lower Austria, located in the middle of the mountains.
By a space of 190 square metres, Schwarzau im Gebirge is one of the largest municipalities of Lower Austria. But also one of the most sparsely populated ones. The municipality consits of following villages: Nasswald, Vois, Preintal and Gegend.
