Gloggnitz

Gloggnitz is located in the South Eastern part of Lower Austria, and surrounded by a green ring of forests.

In the middle of the 19th century the town received many factories. Mostly factories of the textile and timber industry.

Gloggnitz has 6.500 inhabitants. In 1950 Gloggnitz received the first female mayor in Austria. The name of the woman was Zenzi Hölzl.
