Spitz is a lovely little town directly on the Northern banks of the Danube river, in Lower Austrias central region called “Wachau”.

Tourism is a very important source of income for the town. Bicycle tourists (there is a path along the Danube river) and wine lovers (important winegrowing area) are the main groups who appreciate Spitz as the perfect holiday destination.
