Werfen

Werfen is located in the heart of the federal state of Salzburg. 50 km away from Salzburg city.

The most important sight of Werfen is the castle “Hohenwerfen” on the top of a rock over the roofs of Werfen.

Another sight is the Eisriesenwelt. It’s the biggest ice-cave in the world. Some scences of the movie “Sound of Music” were shot here also.

Werfen has 3.500 inhabitants.
