Pfunds is located in the south west of Tirol, directly next to the banks of the Inn river, and is proud to have a rich history.
The village was on the trade route between Venice and the German city of Augsburg. Some of the remaining old houses still show the prosperity the village once had.
Since beginning of the 80’s Pfunds positioned itself as eco-village. Solar plants were built, thermal usage by conservatory and a pollution-free heating plant by biomass and waste wood relish the highest priority in Pfunds.
Pfunds has 2.700 inhabitants.
