Rattenberg

Filed under: Tyrol — admin @ 1:50 pm

By just 440 inhabitants, Rattenberg is one of Austrias smallest towns.

The little town is located in the Eastern part of Tirol, directly next to the banks of the Inn river.

Rattenberg is characterized by a strong glass industry. Almost every second house in the old town is a glass shop, glass factory, or both.

A walk through the old and adoreable alleys of Rattenberg makes you feel you are in medieval times. There is a castle on the hill over the town, where you enjoy a wonderful outlook over Rattenberg, the Inn river and the rest of the Inntal valley.
