Perg can be found in the Eastern part of Upper Austria close to the Danube river, between Linz in the west, and Grein with the Danube in the east.
Perg is the home for a lot of national and international enterprises like Habau, Terra Technik and Petschl, Manner, Synthesa and Capatect. The town offers a lot of events and festivals during the year. The symbol of Perg is the unicorn.
Josef Manner, who is the founder of the world famous “Manner Schnitten” wafers, was born in Perg in 1865.
Perg has 7.500 inhabitants.
