Ottensheim is located directly next to the Northern banks of the Danube river in the Central part of Upper Austria.
The town is on the junction of the heavy used road from Rohrbach and Aschach to Linz. There is also a ferry from Ottensheim across the Danube river on the other shore to the village Wilhering.
Ottensheim has 4.500 inhabitants, and is very popular among cycling tourists who are travelling along the Danube river.
