Helfenberg is a small town with just 1.000 inhabitants, in the north of the federal state Upper Austria, close to the border to Czech Republic.
There is a lot of history in and around Helfenberg. From old castles to big factories from the middle of the 19th century. There is also a factory outlet in Helfenberg.
At the beginning of Helfenberg was a man from Bavaria. He is the founder of the town. This was in the year 1108. In 1843 another stranger came and created something big. It was someone from Milano, and he gave the order to build a textile factory in Helfenberg. The textile factory changed the face of the town completely.
